End-of-Life Planning

I offer a nurturing presence and a compassionate ear, creating a space for individuals to express their feelings, fears, and hopes. Services may include:

  • Exploring preferences regarding medical treatments, end-of-life care, funeral or memorial services, and burial arrangements.

  • Creating an organizational system for finding important information and documents.

  • Guidance in creating a legacy project and facilitating end-of-life conversations with loved ones.

Sacred Space Creation

I accompany individuals and their loved ones in the final hours or days leading up to death. My goal is to offer a calming and comforting presence, creating an atmosphere of peace and support as an individual transitions from life to death. Services may include:

  • Active support and presence during the last days of life.

  • Respite support to the non-paid caregivers who are primarily responsible for care.

  • Support and education to help family members navigate the physical and emotional changes that occur during the dying process.

  • Advocacy with clinicians, extended family, and paid caregivers in regard to an individual's wishes and instructions about care, atmosphere, and involvement at the bedside.

Early Grief Support

Following the passing of a loved one, I offer support to help families navigate the intricate process of mourning. Services may include:

  • Assistance with phone calls to friends, family, or the funeral home immediately after the death.

  • Assistance with finalizing personal matters.

  • Reprocessing the emotions and experiences of the dying process.

  • Education about the grieving process, early grief support, and offering appropriate referrals when necessary.
